Best time saver

The best utility device you need if you have a lot of hardware or if you record a band with a lot of inputs. It save me a lot of fastidious time.

Great utility

Very useful for those with hardware units to synch up with Live. Clear and to the point.

Assign multiple inputs/outputs with a few clicks.

Drop the device anywhere in your Live set, then map the "Cascade Inputs" and the "Cascade outputs" buttons to either a Keyboard, or a MIDI shortcut.

Then select the tracks you want to work with, and press the shortcut.

A small window will appear, where you can select the first input or output you want to start the cascade from.

Once you selected it, the device assigns the corresponding inputs/outputs to the selected audio tracks.

For Outputs you first have to set the selected tracks to "External output" mode.

Installation
  • Place the devices in your Ableton Live User Library.
  • Default User Library locations:
    • Windows: \USERS\[USERNAME]\DOCUMENTS\ABLETON\USER LIBRARY
    • Mac: MACINTOSH HD/USERS/[USERNAME]/MUSIC/ABLETON/USER LIBRARY
  • Live needs to analyze your User Library after adding devices. This process may take some time. In the meantime, you can drag and drop the devices from your User Library onto your tracks.
  • After Live found them you'll be able to access them from Live's Browser.
